Drafts of front cover.

Audience feedback/ questionnaire
1.       What do you think to the overall display of the front cover?
It stands out and the colours used are very eye catching
2.       Do you like the picture on the front cover, and does it give a clear representation of life at Wyke?
Yes I do like the picture and I do believe that it shows how hard the students work.
3.       Would you say the masthead is overpowered by the college’s logo?
Yes, the logo is way too big and doesn’t even fir on the page properly!
4.       Do you believe there should be a main headline/ more headlines on the cover?
Not necessarily a main headline, but just more headlines in general.
5.       Is there a clear house style used throughout the front cover?
Yes it’s quite clearly purple and green.
6.       Do you think the magazine should be sold, therefore the front cover then contains a barcode?
No, it’s only a college after all and students cannot necessarily afford to pay for a magazine.

It stands out really well and the colours all complement each other too.
2.       Do you like the picture on the front cover, and does it give a clear representation of life at Wyke?
Yes I do like the picture because it very informative.
3.       Would you say the masthead is overpowered by the college’s logo?
No not at all, the masthead has more power than the logo and the text used for the masthead is clearly trying to imitate that of the logo.
4.       Do you believe there should be a main headline/ more headlines on the cover?
No I don’t believe there should be more headline’s, there’s more than enough displayed, but maybe a main headline would make the front cover even more striking..
5.       Is there a clear house style used throughout the front cover?
Yes, quite clearly purple and green.
6.       Do you think the magazine should be sold, therefore the front cover then contains a barcode?
Maybe there should, because unlike the other front cover this has more of a professional finish and this could be completed for every issue with the money received.

I like it, it’s fairly captivating..
2.       Do you like the picture on the front cover, and does it give a clear representation of life at Wyke?
Yes it does depict the college really well.
3.       Would you say the masthead is overpowered by the college’s logo?
A little bit, but not as much as the first front cover, maybe the masthead could be made a little bigger, or more effects used to made it stand out clearer.
4.       Do you believe there should be a main headline/ more headlines on the cover?
Yes, again I think there should be a main headline, to entice the reader a little more.
5.       Is there a clear house style used throughout the front cover?
Kind of, although the masthead’s purple colour, doesn’t correspond well with the logo’s purple colour.
6.       Do you think the magazine should be sold, therefore the front cover then contains a barcode?
No not at all, students cannot afford to pay for the magazine.

It’s captivating and bold.
2.       Do you like the picture on the front cover, and does it give a clear representation of life at Wyke?
Yeah, the main image used is great.
3.       Would you say the masthead is overpowered by the college’s logo?
No not at all, I like the way the logo is interweaved with the masthead.
4.       Do you believe there should be a main headline/ more headlines on the cover?
Yes, I think there should be a main headline, to draw the reader in a little more.
5.       Is there a clear house style used throughout the front cover?
Yes, it’s clear that purple and green are the main colours you want to use.
6.       Do you think the magazine should be sold, therefore the front cover then contains a barcode?
Perhaps there should be a barcode to give the front cover more style and flare.
